Episode 12 - Elise Hurd

Due to some deep wounds, self-hatred, and lots of stubborn pride, Elise intentionally turned away from God for several years as a young adult. Self-harm, drinking, drugs, promiscuity, abortion... she gave herself over to it all. But God intervened and brought restoration and redemption to a life that was on the run from Him. Now married with a house full of children, Elise is a writer and faith coach who helps others remember God’s faithfulness and equips them with confidence so they will "always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks to give the reason for the hope that you have."

Episode 11 - Curtis Zackery

Curtis Zackery, aka CZ, is a pastor, writer, and speaker. After a series of challenging circumstances culminated in a collapse of all that CZ once held onto, he and his wife began a journey of finding their way back to God’s heart. They entered an extended Sabbath, and through the process discovered again what it means to find identity in Christ alone. In his book Soul Rest, CZ details this journey of rediscovery and gives us all permission to find real hope, identity, and peace in Christ.
